Take Your Meds

Okay, I admit it. I'm on a Hafiz High for a day or two. Thissun wakes my heart up with a good laugh...

Resist your temptation to lie
By speaking of separation from God,

Otherwise,
We might have to medicate
You.

In the ocean
A lot goes on beneath your eyes.

Listen,
They have clinics there too
For the insane
Who persist in saying things like:

"I am independent from the
Sea,

God is not always around

Gently
Pressing against
My body."

I love Hafiz and I love this poem too. What a bubbly sort of a soul he must have been :) Fizzy, sorta :)

I've only just discovered him, Sue, and I feel like I've known him for ever. But then I probably have;)

I could share a jar or two with this cool dude...

He's a beautiful man. You can tell. I think he'd be good to share a jar with too. Him and Rumi :)
