Thought World

My thoughts would never really stop, given free rein, because they think that thinking is the most important thing in the universe. But if I just let them chatter on to themselves, observing them lovingly but not identifying with them, they will eventually fall quiet, arising again only to take on their true role of everyday problem-solving. It's like talkative children who, knowing themselves loved, will just gently fall asleep after a while.

The only trouble arises when the thoughts believe their own chatter, and attempt to take the reins...

Graduation Day

...Yet if you have decided Who You Are ahead of time, in advance of anything occurring in your Outside World, your Being will replace your Mind's anger with your Soul's compassion, your Mind's frustration with your Soul's understanding, your Mind's haplessness with your Soul's helpfulness, your Mind's resentment with your Soul's forgiveness, your Mind's need to get with your Soul's desire to give, and your Mind's fear with your Soul's love. In this blessed moment your life will be transformed.

You will say, "Once I was lost, but now I am found." And it will be, indeed, an Amazing Grace.

To achieve this breathtaking transformation you must know one thing. Your True Identity is not something that you discover, it is something you decide. When Decisions replace Discoveries, you will have moved from Student to Master in the Journey to Awareness.

Goin' To The Movies

The world we experience is simply a projection of the thoughts we identify with. We think it into existence.

Express Your Self

Joy is life, expressing. The free flow of life energy is what you call joy. The essence of life is Oneness — unity with All That Is.

This is what life is: unity, expressing.

The feeling of unity is the feeling that you call love. Therefore, in your language, it is said that the essence of life is love.

Joy, then, is love, expressing freely.

A Mystic's Creed. Sort Of:)

I don't see 'God out there' as in any way meaningful. I see it as a hangover from tribal religion. If I were to put it into words, I'd say that the very fabric of reality is Love, Life, Joy, Peace etc., and when a human being like Jesus, Buddha etc., actually gets that at the root of their being, the rest of us deify them 'cos they seem to be from another world. They are, of course, only seeing this world as it really is, and inviting us to do the same. They are Humanity evolving, and showing us how to do it. Someone once said, the purpose of Christianity is not to create Christians, but to awaken the Christ within all of us, and the purpose of Buddhism is not to create Buddhists, but to awaken the Buddha nature in all of us. Just different words describing the same thing - Seeing Everything As It Is, and not as our thought-world would have us believe.

Look For Your Self

It would be difficult to overstate the practical importance of this discovery and its consequences for everyday living. All alienation, all separation, the many-sided threat of hostile things and persons and situations – these are no more than bad dreams. All is You. How could you fear Yourself? How could you despise, resent, be bored by Yourself? How could you not love Yourself?

Great-Grand-Daddy Of Lies

There's nothing more absurd, and yet deceptive and destructive, than an ego that thinks itself enlightened. It is a most curious beast, as it is itself entirely a product of our identification with thought. Something unreal imagines itself to be Reality!

The only way to escape from this creature - which only has the power we give it - is to stop feeding it, step right back, and let it exhaust itself. It then dissolves, and the true self, the One Reality, takes over again. It is always there, of course, just observing this nothingness squirming about in its delusions of existence.

A Good Thought - 'Nirvana' means 'cessation' - ceasing from seeing ourselves as our thoughts. Simple, huh? Yes, but not necessarily easy.

Time for a Transcendental Coffee;)

Universal Education

This is something you must understand: Your whole life is a teaching. Everything that you think, say, and do instructs another.

The Whole Fire

God is indivisible. This is so marvellous because it means the whole of God is where you are – not your little bit of God, but the whole of God. If we resist this, it’s because we are resisting our splendour, our greatness. The wonderful proposition of all the mystics that I know and would care to call real mystics is that the heart of you, the reality of your life, the reality of your being, your real self, is the whole of God – not a little bit of that fire but the whole fire.

Born Again. And Again. And...

Remember that every act is an act of self-definition. Every thought carries the energy of creation. Every word is a declaration of what is true for you.
Look to see what you are doing today. Is this how you choose to define yourself?
Look to see what you are thinking today. Is this what you wish to create?
Look to see what you are saying today. Is this what you desire to be so?
Each moment of your life is a holy moment, a moment of creation. Each moment is a new beginning. In each, you are born again.
This is your journey to mastery. It is a journey that will lead you out of the nightmare of your own construction and into that wondrous dream which your life was intended to be. It is a journey that will lead you to your meeting with the Creator.

See Here Now

What if your contribution to the world and the fulfillment of your own happiness is not dependent upon discovering a better method of prayer or technique of meditation, not dependent upon reading the right book or attending the right seminar, but upon really seeing and deeply appreciating yourself and the world as they are right now?

How would this affect your search for spiritual development?

Something To Aim For

"Be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. Talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet. Make all your friends feel there is something in them. Look at the sunny side of everything. Think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. Be as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give everyone a smile. Spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to criticize others. Be too big for worry and too noble for anger."

Hopped Up

...Finally, as I continue on my journey, I come to a place of pure certainty. The Hope which became Belief has become Knowing. I suddenly Know - simply KNOW - that this is How It Is. I know it, because the IT that IS this, I Am. The Perceiver and the Perception have become One. The Creator and the Created have merged. Unification has occurred. We are, I am, All of It is, ONE.

Do you understand what I'm saying here? I sound like I'm on drugs, right? That's the problem with spiritual clarity. It can be very difficult to share your thoughts with others because you start to sound crazy. People will think you're hopped up. Heck, I look at what I just wrote and I think I'm hopped up.

Yet maybe it's time for just that. Maybe it's time for all of us to hop up to a New Level. To take the next step, to make the next leap - a quantum leap into new understanding, new awareness, a new experience of ourselves and of what it means to be human. Maybe this will be the year in which we do that. And maybe enough of us can do that to make this next 12 months the year that the world itself changed forever. Or at least began to.
