A Mystic's Creed. Sort Of:)

I don't see 'God out there' as in any way meaningful. I see it as a hangover from tribal religion. If I were to put it into words, I'd say that the very fabric of reality is Love, Life, Joy, Peace etc., and when a human being like Jesus, Buddha etc., actually gets that at the root of their being, the rest of us deify them 'cos they seem to be from another world. They are, of course, only seeing this world as it really is, and inviting us to do the same. They are Humanity evolving, and showing us how to do it. Someone once said, the purpose of Christianity is not to create Christians, but to awaken the Christ within all of us, and the purpose of Buddhism is not to create Buddhists, but to awaken the Buddha nature in all of us. Just different words describing the same thing - Seeing Everything As It Is, and not as our thought-world would have us believe.

An awesome creed it is, too :)

Thanks, Sue. I'd say it's an 'evolving simplicity';)
